  2. LMellard says:

Yes you can but you will not achieve the same smoky flavor as you would on a grill.

  3. kelly says:

I have a whole salmon I want to grill. Will this method work? How long should it be cooked?

  9. LMellard says:

Donna – Sure this method will work. You’ll need about 40 minutes, depending on how large the fish is. 40 minutes should work for a 6-7 lbs salmon.

I want to plank grill asparagus at the same time I am grilling salmon and have them both ready to eat together. How many minutes (roughly)on the grill for the asparagus?

  11. LMellard says:

Jess – 15 – 20 minutes depending on cooking temperture and desired doneness.

I have purchased your cedar planks for years at Costco. I always look forward to buying many, many packages to use throughout the year. I purchase them for other friends and family as well. I use between 50-70 planks per year myself. My local store has informed me they will no longer be carrying your planks. I am very disappointed to hear that as I feel you have an excellent product and I would very much like to purchase more of your cedar planks, even in bulk if necessary.
Please let me know a way to purchase your products. I live in the Minneapolis area.
    Thank you.

Hey, would like to buy some planks, live in Kerrville, Texas 45 minutes from San Antonio Where can I buy them? can I order from you?

  15. Carol says:

I too, have purchased your cedar planks for years from Costco, and now they no longer carry them. Your planks were the best, because they were so long and could hold a large slab of salmon. Is it possible to purchase them directly from you? The last time I bought them, I got them through, but I don’t even see them available there anymore.

  16. LMellard says:

These will be in Costco shortly. If you cannot find them, ask an associate. Or email me at

  17. I have tried other planks and haven’t found any that I liked as well as yours. Where can I purchase some? I grill year round and really need them soon. Please advise. Thanks.

  18. Donna says:

We lived near a Costco and now we don’t. How else can I buy your planks? We love them and want to buy lots more especially since we moved to Georgia where we can grill year round.

  22. Bob says:

Costco informed me that they no longer carry your planks. What other retailers do you have in the Cincinnati, OH area? Thanks.

  23. LMellard says:

They should be in your Costco warehouses now.

  24. Donna says:

We used to buy your planks at Costco in Calgary but haven’t been able to find them there for awhile. Checked again today. Do you sell them anywhere else on Calgary? They are the best!

  25. LMellard says:

Please check back as they should be in stock now.

  26. LMellard says:

please contact us directly at and we will see what we can come up with.

I have been buying your cedar planks at Costco for a few years now, and love them, but haven’t seen them lately. I’m on my last two planks and would really like to get some more. Can you tell me where to buy them in Calgary other than Costco (or which specific Costco; I’ve tried several)? Alternatively, I’ll be in Vancouver and around Kelowna on vacation soon; any chance of getting them around there? Thanks!

  29. Donna Stock says:

I cannot find your PLANKS anywhere. Please help. They are wonderful. Thank You DONNA

  30. Joe Brunold says:

Can I plank other types of seafood not just salmon? If so how?

  31. LMellard says:

Joe: Of course. Anything that you’d like to impart with a slightly smoky flavor can be planked. Check out our sister site, for additional recipes.

  32. LMellard says:

Check back in your local Costco soon. Depending on your location they will be available early spring.

  33. Susan B says:

You can purchase these planks at Amazon. I did for the first time, and made salmon – delish!
